Continuing Education Information

The Consortium of Academic Health Centers for Integrative Medicine and the Feinberg School of Medicine (FSM) are the 2013 joint- sponsors of the ICC-CIM Continuing Medical Education Program.



Learning Objectives

ICC-CIM is designed to explore the clinical frontiers of a wellness-based healthcare system supported by individuals and teams practicing holistic, integrative medicine incorporating both complementary and conventional medical strategies. At the conclusion of the Congress, participants will be able to:

  1. create an environment where science-informed best practices of holistic and integrative medicine utilizing both CAM and conventional modalities and disciplines can be shared and discussed;
  2. explore sustainable clinical and financial models for an integrative patient centered wellness/medical home utilizing the above approach;
  3. provide opportunities for clinicians of all types to experience and learn new approaches to the optimization of patients' health and the reversal and treatment of chronic disease.


Target Audience

This is designed for medical professionals with an interest in the use of preventive and integrative medical approaches.


Accreditation Statement


This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Consortium of Academic Health Centers for Integrative Medicine.  The Northwestern University Feinberg School is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 


Credit Designation Statement

The Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 16 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Certification Requirements

To obtain CE credit for the 2013 ICC-CIM, you must:
1. Register for and pay the Continuing Education fee.
2. Attend the Congress Sessions.
3. Complete the onsite attendance verification form, available at the CE desk near registration.
4. Turn in the completed attendance verification form.
Failure to complete any of the steps outlined above will result in your inability to claim CE credits. Certificates will be issued and postmarked by January 1, 2014.

Further CE Information

Non-physicians may obtain a Certificate of Attendance by following the above instructions.  It is the individual’s responsibility to check with their professional boards to determine if AMA PRA Category 1 CME credit may be used to fulfill their discipline’s CE requirements.
