Nancy Sudak, MD

Nancy Sudak, MD, ABIHM, was raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended Kenyon College as an undergraduate, earning a BA degree in English Literature, and Case Western Reserve University for medical school. She moved to Duluth, MN in 1989 to pursue her residency in Family Medicine, where she has remained since 1992. She has held a variety of family practice positions in the Duluth area, most recently at the Lake Superior Community Health Center, where she had a unique integrative holistic primary care practice. After serving two terms on the ABIHM Board of Directors, she became the Executive Director in 2010. Her special interests in medicine include ecological health, nutritional/functional medicine, integrative medicine for the underserved population, and the importance of the therapeutic relationship. She enjoys writing, and is on the faculty of three textbooks: Integrative Medicine (3rd Ed), Functional Medicine (2nd Ed), and Textbook of Natural Medicine (4th Ed). She lives in Duluth, MN with her husband and teenaged children.
