Dr. David W. Miller, MD, LAc is one of few MD physicians in the U.S. dually board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Dr. Miller received his M.D. from the Brown University School of Medicine, and completed his internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Chicago. He is currently an instructor at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago where he designed the school's Integrative Pediatrics curriculum and supervises a Pediatrics clinic. He has also designed and taught curriculum for the study of Integrative Endocrinology, Nephrology, Public Health, and Medical Communications, and teaches Integrative Pediatrics in the Master's program at National University. His private practice is East-West Integrated Medicine where both adults and children are seen. - www.eastwestintmed.com. Dr. Miller is currently legislative director for the Illinois Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ILaaom), president of the Illinois Acupuncture Federation, and sits on the AAAOM Council of State Associations. He is also the medical doctor representative to the Illinois Board of Acupuncture, and is a member of the NCCAOM Biomedical Exam Development Committee. Dr. Miller participates in the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Complementary and Alternative medicine, and is a peer-reviewer for the American Acupuncturist. He is also a member of the National Physicians Alliance, and the Illinois State Medical Society.
